Colour Couture designs are based on European Couture Sizes (ECS) and jewellery measurements (approx. mm ) are displayed on individual jewellery description pages.

Agates
The agate gemstone family consists of over 10 different distinct stones with their own characteristic features. Agates are said to foster love and create an appreciation of nature.
Blue Lace Agate
Blue Lace Agate is one notable agate with delicate hues of white, light blue & medium blue and is said to create hope and positive thinking. Other members of the agate family: Tree Agate, Moss Agate, Golden Lace Agate, Old Crazy lace Agate, Fossil Agate, Golden Leaf Agate, Wooden Agate; Black, Blue, Green White & Red Agates.
Baltic Amber
Baltic Amber is a delicate timeless gemstone with hues varying from deep honey to light gold with specks of natural inserts presumed to have originated from its tree sap origins. Ambers are said to represent romance, wisdom and energy.
Amazonite
Amazonite is an opaque feldspar gemstone of blue-green aqua hues from Kenya and named after the river Amazon. Russian Amazonite gemstones are teal/ivory blended opaque gemstones.
Amethyst
Amethyst, February birthstone, is the most sought-after coloured-gem. Although it is quite an expensive gemstone, its excellent deep purple colour and clarity means it is one of the best wearing gemstones, holding its re-sell value very well.
Aquamarine
Aquamarine, birthstone for March, is undoubtedly one of the world's most precious and equally expensive gemstones with translucent gleams of light sea blue. Relative of the much rarer Apatite stone, Aquamarines are said to promote safe travel on water and release anxiety.
Aragonite
Aragonite is an intriguing golden coloured opaque gemstone reminiscent of a country-side meadow. Aragonites are said to bring stability with its warm sun-kissed hues.
Aventurine
The Aventurine family is made up of Dark & Medium Green, Blue, Peach, Red aventurines all characterised by opaque richly coloured stones. Medium green aventurine has a unique metallic iridescence famously used to create timeless vintage jewellery designs.
Carnelian
Carnelian is famously know for its deep-red to orange fire colour. Carnelian is a chalcedony stone reminiscent of Caribbean fire Sapphire and can vary dramatically in texture from translucent to opaque.
Cat's Eye
Cat's Eye Quartz, so named from its characteristic shimmering 'eye' which is a silver white line that moves as the stone moves. Also known as Hawk's Eye, it is a very rare quartz stone.
Chrysophase
Characterised by its opulent green colour, Apple Green Chrysophase is a very rare and significantly expensive gemstone that is used in fine jewellery designs along side diamonds and pearls. Lemon Chrysophase is a more affordable frothy lemon coloured gemstone.
Citrine
Citrine is member of the quartz family with a golden-yellow radiant translucent colour. Citrine, birthstone for November, is quite popular and regularly features alongside diamonds in fine jewellery designs.
Coral
Corals are organic gemstones sourced at sea. Coral is worth more in today's market than gold by weight due to its increasing rarity. Red & Pink Corals represent the crème de la crèmes of gemstone materials and are said to bring protection and calm. White Bamboo Coral is naturally grey in colour but is bleached to a soft ivory colour.
Fluorite
With its translucent rainbow, fluorite has exciting mixture-blend of colors, including purple, clear, violet, green and lilac. Its striped patterns make each hand-cut bead as unique and beautiful as a rainbow. Our natural fluorite is protected with a light coating of oil and may need to be rinsed or washed in a mild soap solution before wearing.
Garnet
July birthstone, Garnet, has for generations represented strength, passion, love and fidelity. Garnet stones have hues which can vary from bright ruby red to the alluring deep wine. Generally large garnet stones have deeper, richer colours.

The Garnet family also includes: Indosolite Garnet: a more expensive rare stone with a slight reminiscence of Tournamaline; Hessonite Garnet which is orange-brown; Rhodolite, Spassartite, Orissa, and Hydrabadi Garnets.
Howlite
Howlite, a very versatile gemstone which is believed to help iron out emotional turbulence, is extensively dyed to imitate other stones such as lapis lazuli, turquoise and Agates. White Howlite is a snow white grey marble-like patterned soft opaque stone.
Iolite
Iolite gemstones have a rich transparent navy blue colour. These desirable (and pricey) stones are so similar to blue sapphire, there are often called 'water sapphires' even though they are of the cordierite family. Large faceted iolite nugget can cost almost as much as garnet of the same size & calibre.
Jade
The Jade family of gemstones is quite robust and includes over 15 different stones. Most notable is the Green Nephrite Jade best know for it opulent rich green sourced from the British Colombian region.

Green Nephrite Jade is a gem graded stone which means it has a high resale value and usually used in creating heirloom jewellery. The Jade family is the gemstone equivalent of the 'Smith' surname with many stones given the name 'jade', but are simply coloured dolomite marbles
Jasper
Jasper stones are opaque and highly coloured gem stones with quite distinct characteristics. Autumn Jasper has an earthly blend of orange, red, brown autumn leaves while Brecciated Jasper is of a deep brown, cream and red colour.

A very popular jasper is the beautiful Dalmatian Jasper, which quite frankly has Dalmatian spots as the name suggests. Fancy jasper is where the fun begins, with delicious blends of pale candy lilac, mauve, cream and green. Other members of the Jasper family include Leopard Skin, Flower, Moukaite , Picture, Ocean, Rainbow, Sesame, Silver Leaf, Tigerskin and White Jaspers.
Labradorite
A soft gem stone with igniting grey-blue opaque hues with subtle reflective sheen, Labradorite is said to help with sight clarity and dream recallations.
Lapis Lazuli
A-grade lapis lazuli is one of the most costly gem stones in the world, comparable to Aquamarines, Garnet and Amethyst. With its deep royal blue Lapis Lazuli is a highly desirable stone because of its purity with flashes shimmering gold specks and violet pyrite. Sourced from Natural deposits in Afghanistan, Denim lazuli is a denim look alternative, which is far more affordable with grey and white hints of iron pyrite.
Mahogany Obsidian
With a rich gleam Mahogany Obsidian is a mixture of red-brown mahogany wood grain apperance.
Malachite
A-grade Green Malachite is a hugely coveted stone with an appealing mix of dark and medium greens finely blended hues. Sourced from the Republic of Congo, Africa, green malachite is considered to inspired romantic tenderness and ward of self-harm thoughts. Red malachite is actually cream coloured jasper with gorgeous pale red and brown bandings swirling across the gemstone.
Moukaite
Moukaite is a gemstone with a red, brown, gold and white patterns.
Nephrite Jade
The nephrite variety of jade will be medium dark green stone with soft black streaks. Nephrite is one of the longest wearing of any gemstone material.
